Hello.
I’ve been apart of this community and also playing this server for 9years and I don’t ever think there was an official Player Reset since playing here
What is player reset?
Basically unbanning all players/clearing all up addresses that was also banned and blacklisted and allowing them to play at the server again, as the server is dying this can be a solid option to get the number count up, I mean, what is there to lose right? I would Like Joanne and Staff Members to please take this into consideration and let’s try to revive this broken community.

I'm 100% sure that PTP still has potential to bring new players or, at least, maintain itself as a community of friends where we can meet and have fun online, by adapting to new platforms. Unfortunatelly I have 0 programming skills, or I would have done it myself, as I have wanted to many times

I always want to join but can't because of family obligations! I'm sad to see this post, but happy to see COBRA is a parent -- congratulations! Someday I'll be in Türkiye to visit.

This is here why the game and the community itself dies here because everyone is now under adulthood and responsibilities that this game and its people are no more a priority which it should supposed to be. I have seen a post recently by Yomama about shifting the game to openmp kind of stuff but that will not cut it because...... WE ALL HAVE GROWN UP.. FULL STOP

I don't think regulars refusing to make the GM appealing and friendly to newbies helped either. Other servers were able to retain popularity because new blood came in, meanwhile we drove them away to the other servers with Red vs. Blue fights and overusing OP VIP privileges and didn't adapt to the changing tech with open.mp (it's not too late!). As a consequence, this uniquely glorious game mode sits in the empty servers list because no one can see how great it is unless there are 15+ people playing in a non-toxic way. Meanwhile, a healthy crew of people (including some former PTP regulars) are playing another server's shit knockoff that isn't even a focal part of its GM. We should have made sure the next generation could see the greatness and further pass it on so they'd keep the server warm for us to come back and enjoy in our advanced age.

Talking about the quote above. Mr Unemployed Software Engineer, if you really want to keep this server alive, why don't you make one yourself? I mean if you're a software engineer, i am expecting that you have learnt C or C++ so pawn won't be hard for you and taking Plan B server into consideration which is pretty basic, i think it'll just take you a month or two to clone everything and maybe teamup with your latin friends and make it even faster and then you can make it full Spanish aswell. 

It's not that I couldn't, it's that I wouldn't. A big part of the magic is the community of people who know how to make this game fun because they've been playing it for so long. You can see the absence of that with the shitty UIF knockoff that gets as many players as we used to, but without the skill.

I feel the efforts required to make that happen won't be justified considering how much you'd have to test, fix bugs and what not.

Supposedly it's all backwards compatible, so I'm not sure it would really be that much work. It's worth considering for those doubting its viability that there are currently >1000 people playing open.mp servers:

Some of them are running on their phones. Pretty cool what they're doing.

If someone's willing to give that a try, I'd recommend Alt:V since that's the thing closest to SAMP from what i've seen.

Also glad to see you Yomama! I had to remember my pass and everything to access this forum but hey, worth it i guess

Alt:V doesn't seem to have the player base that SA:MP/open.mp still has. Also I think the joy of PTP is in the stupid unrealistic shit that V doesn't allow, like riding on cars and planes, stunting, bugs, etc.

Good to see you, too! Hope you're doing well and I really hope that this game catches a second wind on open.mp so we can all come back and enjoy it.

Hi, i'm back in the server and i was playing a time, all ok only the server is lonely, sometime i try to enter in a car and it's impossible, ever say i need to wait 2 second and nothing, i try /sync and nothing, i wanna try to share the possible the srever in groups but with this bug 'll be impossible for the new players, please fix it.

I am so glad to see you Cobretti. And many many belated congratulations on being a parent. I know its late but better safe than sorry (lol).

Back then we were kids or teenagers that liked to do nasty and rash stuff with friends in game and enjoy bunch of it while we could.. Now it doesn't even matter because...Well you know that's the way of life.

Last year, my son was newborn and it was too hard to organise a party for me. Even though, I did my best to join party. it was like 8-10 players max... Also many trolls didnt even let us picture under xmas trees.

2023's xmas party was a disaster, like 10 players came. Yall hanging out in another servers and left PTP behind. YOU KILLED PTP!
