Hi, friends and foes!
I would like to suggest you all to play the Mafia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(party_game)) game on our forums (party game, not PC one). :) I was thinking about it numerous times, and now I've spontaneously found a supporter and a couple of persons who might be interested as well, that's why I am posting this.
About the game
For those who don't know about the rules and who don't want to read that Wikipedia article: the rules are quite simple. All of the players are divided in two groups: 'Mafia' and 'Citizens'. 'Mafia' is in the minority, but they know about each other, they know who belongs to 'Mafia' and who does not. 'Citizens' are, in turn, in majority, but they have got no idea about who is who. Generally, the goal of each side is to kill all of the members from opposite group.
The game has got a number of rounds which have got two phases: day and night. During the day each player expresses his opinion and thoughts about the game and the other players (like, who is 'Mafia', who is not, why etc); they do it in the strict order specified by game master. To the end of the day players must suggest at least one person to be killed (thus, if nobody didn't sugest anyone, the last player to express his opinion is obligated to do so); after that everybody votes against one of those who was suggested. The one who gets more votes is getting killed. He's got the right of the last word, after that he is expelled from the game. His true role is not being revealed till the end of the game.
During the night 'Mafia' privately chooses their victim and tells his name to the game master; he reveals the one who was killed at the start of the next day, the victim has also got the right of the last word. The exception are the first day and night: nobody is getting killed, the players just introduce themselves during the day, and the game master tell each 'Mafia' member about the others during the night.
The game ends when either all 'Mafia' members are killed, or when 'Mafia' becomes majority.
There also could be a few special characters among 'Citizens' who can act once during each night like a 'Cop' who can ask the GM about any player if he's 'Mafia' member or not, and a 'Doctor' who can protect any player for one night (he can't protect the same person more than 1 night in a row), so he cannot be killed by 'Mafia'.
If I find at least 8 potential participants, I will start the game. I will be the GM, and I guarantee you fair gameplay (roles will be distributed randomly), PTP-related lore and setting :D and regular posting. The only requirements for the participants are:
- Be capable of understanding and expressing their thoughts in English;
- Be active on the Forums (if you don't post in your turn in 24 hours, you will be expelled I guess);
- To follow simple rules and GM instructions, to post in your turn and be silent out of turn - otherwise any forum game turns into pure chaos.
The game will start on the 15.03.2017. You are free to join until that date. The list of participants is below:

Hm, I'm afraid that explanation is simple enough to find an easier one, but everybody will probably get it when they see the game in action. I guess we'll play right in this topic, yes. We will talk about who we believe to be mafia member and why. It doesn't necessarily have to be the truth, for example mafia members will always try to trick other players to vote to kill innocent civilians and leave mafia members alive. That's the kind of discussions we'll have I guess ;)

I will be the game master, at least for the first game - who knows, maybe we'll have numerous amount of them. As for your question, Mia replied them correctly with the exception that I will start a separate topic for a game itself - but it is a technical nuance.
If you want we can take turns to be the game master so you can join the game too :)
Thank you, but unfortunately there is no option to be GM and player simultaneously in Mafia - unless each time you will be erasing my memories about who is who. As I said, I will probably play future games if any - if someone else woule like to be GM too.

Each time you call Skitt so, I remember Scytale, one of the main characters of Dune series. He is the last one to be associated with our actual Skitt in my mind though. ;D

Sorry for the late reply on that topic, My bad :(. I didn't notice it since it went way down because of the new posts. As Mia said, it would be better if its not in a specific order. And also if that topic could be pinned(temporarily) to the top, it will be easy to be noticed.

Due to technical reasons I can't post much right now.
The main thing is: I must agree that the game is too slow as it is now. So, the "strict order" rule is removed. You can now post during the ingame "day" whenever you want, but only once; all of the players have 24 hours for it.
I've also thought about the modifications to make the game more dynamic without loosing its main concept, but it doesn't really matter for now. Just continue introducing yourself, and I will modify this post and explain everything better whenever possible.
So, here are the modifications and explanations to the rules, they are getting applied right after they are posted:
- An ingame "day" lasts for 24 hours since the GM (me) posts a message about it. All of the "alive" players must post anything during it - but only once; the order does not matter. If anybody fails to do so, he will get kicked. Everybody can vote against anyone else, but you are not obligated to do so. In the end of the day the one who has got more votes is getting kicked of the game. If there were no votes at all or there was equal amount of votes against two or more persons, nobody is getting kicked (but it benefits Undercovers).
- An ingame "night" lasts for 12 hours since the GM posts a message about it. The Corrupted Mod (Doctor), the Cop (Admin's Friend) and the Undercover Leader (Mafia Deader) should PM the GM the nickname of a person they'd like to protect/to check/to kill. If they fail to do so, nobody will be protected/checked/killed during the night. The very first night is the only exception - no special actions are availiable during it, it is completely peaceful.
- A person whose gameplay was ruined during the day (who was lynched by the innocent citizens) has a right to post his final word during the first night after the day when he was lynched, but he is not obligated to do so. The one whose gameplay was ruined on the night by Undercovers (who was killed by Mafia) has no right for a final word.
Thus, one day + one night will never last for more than 36 hours. I am sorry for the issue. But I guess you all understand that such issues are unavoidable when we start anything completely new here for the first time. Thanks to Skittles and Uthar for helping me with resolving it.
I don't understand why we need to talk in a specific order though.
Although we decided to sacrifice this rule for the sake of dynamism and it will probably work well this way here, I will try to explain why I consider this to be important.
The game is all about the information that the players are giving. Without it, the game would be completely random. On IRL games there are a lot of other information but verbal - like intonation, facial expressions etc. But online only messages form the information. The more people posted before you, the more information you have, and your decisions could be more measured. That's why usually the order is strict and it is shifted to the left each day - like, if you were the first one to talk today, you'll be the last one to talk tomorrow. That's it.
P.S. I was also thinking about giving the role of a person who is kicked due to inactivity to any volunteers. I know that Quido would take it. SliKkeZ, would you? If anyone else is interested too, let me know!

But you should thank our untimely deceased friend Skittles first. If he wasn't so persistent, I would never suggest to play Mafia within this community, although I had got such idea at least since the last Summer.

My logic worked!!!
As i voted for glenn for two days he didnt kill me so
It was a clear indication that uthar was the culprit.
It was sure glenn wasn't undercover so he could have been admins friend or vip
But there was one indication that at last it was made clear that there is one undercover.
I knew it would be uthar as glenn would have asked only when he was the friend.
The rest is my planning from the very first day.
I didn't vote why?
Cuz in the chaos i would have died to the vips.
How did i last so long?
Many people killed the higher authorities first and then came to kill level decrements.(from real ptp)
As very less people knew me i remained hidden from them.
