Yesterday evening it was very quiet on the server. The president was on top of Mount Chiliad camping with a few security. As always when the terrorist arrive the president parachute jumps of the mountain. And as usual he dies on impact:

Or when he jumps off the mountain with car/bike he brought with him, most of the time the president also dies.
But then yesterday I was hunting the president as a civilian and my car blew up, so I took a vortex of the beach and followed him, I jumped of a cliff and glided down. Then I remembered that this is a feature of the vortex and an idea struck me.
What if we place a few vortex on the top of Mountain Chiliad. Around 5 maybe, enough for the president and a security to escape safely, but also leaves a few left so that the terrorists can follow him. Not only makes this the map more interesting with new tactics, but also makes it a little bit more fun when you screwing around with friends.
In the video below you see how far you can glide with the vortex of the mountain.

Summary:
- Makes it possible for the president and the security to escape safely
- Terrorist can follow the president by gliding down with another vortex of the mountain
- Vortex isn't a strong vehicle so it can be shot down in mid-flight
- When the vortex lands on land the president has to switch vehicle because the vortex isn't a fast or stable road car
- The vortex can glide pretty far, but not fair enough to make it too OP
- Fun for civilians who are scewing around

That video really shows how amazing that vehicle is. Plus it can Hover over water so it can be used as good getaway vehicle.

Yes I like the concept of an a better escape route for the president when camping on the Chilland.

I always think about placing few vehicles on top of the Mt. Chilliad, and vortex is the best choice imo. +1

That was what I wanted to work up to suggesting after they got added in FC- I forgot about it, though. If they're added, there should be enough for terrorists to be able to follow. I don't like the ramp idea though.
Also, I think vortexes should be added to the other maps where they haven't been added already.

No, because it's apparently not enough driving that you've realized that it's much more effective to use Rustlers and other air vehicles in conjunction with the people on the ground. If someone tries gliding with the Vortex with a Rustler around, it's suicide.

I am not sure if it would be as much fun as you expect, but yes, it is at least worth giving a try. +1.

5 vortexes aren't enough. Increase it to maybe around 8 atleast and place it on the small elevation opposite to the marked summit (para spawn).
The Placement because to provide a quick alternate route just in case shit goes crazy. Because Vortexes are ez to snipe based on it's speed and it's explosion is Aircraft tier.
Vortexes being the ultimate kamikaze vehicle would also prevent presi to constantly camp at the summit and explore new areas to camp.

It is a common thing for ptp regulars and even admins to not know a shit about basic SA mechanics.
Funniest thing: there is a tutorial in SA single player about this vortex glide.

Obv that vortex will not be "excited" vehicle to race with if you will just make a "1 fall glide" race.
Make a race where you will glide from roof to roof and collect checkpoints.
