And in case some one thinks that civilian hit sound is heard, civilian is not a team it is a class

It doesn't bother me to be honest, it would feel weird to hit and not hear the sound I'd rather always get my hit sound on whoever I shoot. And I like it this way so -1

Yes as Fini said, it doesn't bother me either, but I think it would be good for some people (referring to Firas' report over Satvik) to get a clear note and understand whom he hit. Therefore i give it +1.

It's called hit sound for a reason whether hitting enemies or teammates it doesn't make sense to me why do you want it disabled, or maybe just add a different hit sound for teammates so you know you shouldn't be shooting this target, whatever goes, don't disable any hit sound please.

What about making a different sound when you hit your team, instead? (And/or making this an option, instead of a server-wide change?)

There's no problem with adding different sound. That's good idea, I like it also! :D
