Title: [To be reviewed]Add Shamal to Red County
Post by: HawayiJahz on May 10, 2020, 09:33:07 pm
I believe the title is self-explanatory.

Red County is by far the only map that doesn't seem to have any Shamals lying around in its otherwise magnificent airport. I take it that Red County lacked an actual airport in the past which might be why it's never had Shamals, but now that we have a full-fledged airport, I believe having a Shamal wouldn't do anybody any harm.

Here are the coordinates of two proposed spawn points, in case it might come handy (if ever this materialises):

Code: [Select]
AddStaticVehicle(519,-103.3952,155.3487,3.7910,157.1994,54,185); // Shamal close to waterbody
AddStaticVehicle(519,-218.3991,-129.7219,3.7189,338.6492,19,214); // Shamal other end

First proposed spawn point, the other one is diametrically opposite on the far end of the runway

I like your thought, HawayiJahz. However, taking into account the structure of map boundaries and the aesthetics of the Red County map, I don't think it will be suitable to add an aircraft of this size and nature.

Flint Country is more or less like Red County in regards to map structure / terrain but has Shamals nonetheless. Regardless, Shamals are extremely useful in a map like RC, trust me :D

It is probably not needed but it would add another tactic to the president atleast.

Yeah, even tho it doesnt match the map concept, it's going to add another option for president surviving tactic. I feel like RC has very little hiding places compared to the other maps, in 90% of the rounds presidents either go to the UFO or in the interior.

Remove it from Flint County instead lel. I also dont think Shamal is suitable for these 2 maps.

I'm fine with having a Shamal or two, but I think those spawn points will block the runway. A lot of people can't take off quickly as it is, and those places would make it too easy for someone to block a someone else taking off by rolling the Shamal into the way. I think it would be better to have them spawn along the side.
