About a year ago, Vortexes (or vortices, I guess) were added (http://jonne.be/forum/index.php?topic=36.msg114#msg114) in Red County as a test. Since they actually kind of suck because they're slow and easily snipable, I think they probably passed the probationary period. However, they're still pretty amusing and I think they should be added in all the other maps in at least the following possible places:
- Under the Golden Gate (or Gant) bridge in SF
- Scattered basically anywhere in West Venturas and NSA, but not on the shore in WV closest to the ships- they would make it too easy to get there. It would also be nice to have them under the bridge in the little slice of SF that's in WV too, so being stranded on the ship there isn't a big deal.
- On the beaches in LS, scattered around elsewhere too
- All over the place in Flint County, but especially somewhere near Mt. Chiliad
- Scattered around Red County (not just at the place they are now)
I don't know if everyone else would agree, but I think in general, they should be fairly close to water, in a somewhat flat location.
Also, changing how it blows up would be nice- the way it is now, it has a big explosion and it explodes nearly instantly after the health drops below 250. It would be better if the server caught the health at nearly 250, then did a custom explosion so you have time to jump out. Maybe the explosion could also be a car-sized one, instead of the aircraft explosion (since the game itself classifies it as an aircraft and uses the ridiculous explosion). It's kind of amusing as it is now (it's the ultimate kamikaze vehicle), but I feel like it gets annoying and it could be abused.

Because they aren't boats, and they're fun. You also can't death evade with them by getting in and out to avoid losing health when someone is shooting you.

I like your idea and I like the places you have mentioned. It would be hard to find better ones. +1.

This part is something I wouldn't like to see. As you said, it is kind of amusing, and I want it to stay this way. ;D So, -1 to changing vortices mechanics.

Some vortexes have been added in different maps. We won't be adding the explosion systems though.
