Rules

First, simple rules:

If you don't remember or don't know about the rules, you can read this article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(party_game)) or Altus' brief explanation (http://jonne.be/forum/index.php?topic=1142.msg9396#msg9396). If you are confused or have a question, please, PM me or post it there (http://jonne.be/forum/index.php?topic=1142) - just don't do it in this topic. I will be the Game Master during this game, and I will try to supply you with clear and accurate instructions in every my message.

I will tell each of you about your role via PM shortly after posting this topic. After that, the game will be started!

List of players:




Foreword

Any reference to living persons or real events is purely coincidental. The following content is nothing more but a fictional background of the game.

Imagine that all of you are PTP Server VIPs1 (#post_hint1). You represent a solid, strong community. You never attack each other, you hunt newbies together and live happily. But today an admin leaked you some horrendous info: three of you are going to play undercover2 (#post_hint2) and attack the other VIPs one by one to make them quit the server3 (#post_hint3). The community is shocked. No sun shines for PTP VIPs.

Fortunately there are two special characters among you. The first one is the Corrupt Mod4 (#post_hint4). He has been picked to Mod's place recently, but he is not interested of following Mod's duty - he will rather spectate VIP players and protect5 (#post_hint5) them from any external threats by eliminating them with his special powers. The second one is Admin's Friend6 (#post_hint6). He will be asking7 (#post_hint7) an Admin about particular VIPs - if they are playing undercover or not.

Will undercovers manage to make all of the VIPs ragequit and leave the server? Will VIPs find out who is who and restore their old, accustomed order? Time will tell!




Day 1, before midnight

VIPs are confused. They decided to talk to each other and to listen to everyone to secure themselves from the terrifying threat of fighting undercovers. But, since nothing bad hasn't yet happened, VIPs decided not to ruin anyone's gameplay today8 (#post_hint8).

(Guideline: introduce yourself, explain why are you a honest VIP, not a dirty undercover. You don't need to start a voting against anyone today - it is the first day, nobody will be "killed".)


1 - "Innocent citizens"
2 - "Mafia"
3 - "Mafia Leader will kill an innocent citizen each night"
4 - "Doctor"
5 - "Each night the doctor will pick a person to protect from Mafia"
6 - "Cop"
7 - "Each night the cop will ask the Game Master if any particular person is Mafia member or not"
8 - "Citizens won't pick anyone to lynch during the first day - it is a day of acquaintance"[/list]

I am an innocent VIP again just to save you all and get rid of those freaking mafias.
Living is great.and surviving though is awesome.
I have never survived as a President but i have survived an Apocalypse and saved you all. That is all i have to say

Hi guys! I probably don't have to tell that to anyone, but if you're missing this part, in my gameplay I'm always friendly and I'd never ever tried to kill another VIP. That's exactly why I think that we need to unite to find out who is trying to ruin our our splendid non-aggression pact.  8)

Hello, my fellow VIPs.

As you all know, I joined this game, Protect the President, only to help and serve you. I have never even thought of attacking a regular, and if I did it accidentally, I always used to deeply apologize. There is nothing more entertaining than hunting newbies together, so you can always find me in the middle of mixed terro-cop army. Those people who went undercover... They are not even evil, they are just deranged, they are dangerous for themselves and those who surround them. We need to find them out, isolate and ruin their gameplay. I don't doubt those undercovers will make wrong moves and reveal themselves - just be careful, attentive and cold-headed, and we, VIPs, will win this game, like we did in the previous one.

Night 1

The first and probably last peaceful night in PTP begins. Latinos with unimaginable pings, vice presidents with miniguns and other horrible night creatures start to join the game. But no traces of any aggressive undercovers yet. Some regulars start to be suspicious of the others and you can feel the tension.

The undercover squad has its first secret meeting. They know each other now.

There's nothing happening tonight, so we move on to day 2.

Day 2

After an entire night of uncertainty, some VIPs believe they know who is plotting against their peaceful community. Accusations start flying around and some people get angry... It's just impossible everybody ends the day safely. Someone has to suffer the consequences of all this accumulated rage!

Hint: Now all of you have to say who you would kill. Please, do it explicitely and write the player's name. You are free to explain your reasons! The most voted player will be lynched by VIPs and eliminated from the game. Do NOT edit your messages after posting them!

There is nothing which would tell me that Carg is an undercover. He hasn't aimed at anyone, he acted normally, much like always. Anyways, the players who are constantly, purposely, single-mindedly trying to confuse everyone are dangerous to us, innocent VIPs, because even if they give some information, it is not of much use.

Anyways, the majority has spoken and VIPs will ruin Carg's gameplay in the evening... But without me. I'd better hunt newbies near their spawns alone in the evening (well, maybe with some VIP from the opposing team: he will spray his teammates, and I will get the kills). I abstain from voting today.

... And it was hate on Carg. There was practically no discussion about it. Practically everyone agreed... Carg's fate wasn't really hard to guess. At the end of the day there was a bunch of angry VIPs on a Sultan at the way out of civilian spawn. They practically didn't fit on top of that car. Like our old folk Ahmed would have done, Carg got his game ruined and he was never seen in the server again.

Also, Lacerta's ghost came back from the underworld and banned Uthar Smith for moving his hand towards the mouse at armor (and therefore trying to start an armor fight). Fortunately, Lacerta was feeling better later on that day, and he decided to finally unban Mar.Maroc, so he joins the game.

(Reality: He has been kicked from the game because he hasn't posted in the last 24 hours. Please be active!
Mar.Maroc's role is the same as Uthar's.
PLEASE, do not modify your post like Carg did!)

TL;DR: Carg is dead. Uthar is eliminated for inactivity. Mar.Maroc joins with Uthar's role.

There is not going to be night 9! Undercovers, who are both of the players who still remain alive, have taken control of the server! The friendly VIP community has fallen... but... never say never, they might be back!
