Yes it is possible to merge them both,
I'm here for adding an irc plugin on discord server of ours.

Will this work with the server client? If it will then +1 for it. If not then keep as it is.
What server client?
This needs an active computer which remains on for 24 hours for which Jonne's Computer is perfect for.

I dont think its really needed.

But why? Give apropriate reason

So you can spam at both places and get banned ? Oh I'd like to see that

It's for those who use mibbit okay?
And BTW I'm unbanned already.
-
Not really needed, increases the amount of spam in both places at one time and also brings a lot of confusion. Leave it as it is.

No need for anyone spamming

Changing my vote to -1. The reasons are pretty obvious.

Firstly you don't even use discord, secondly you DO even care about this post.

Good idea but it will spam -1

Spam can be controlled right?

But why? They are supposed to have different functions. You guys don't realise that admins would not only have to moderate IRC but discord at the same time if this gets implemented.
Player: join my server ip:...
he gets kicked on IRC or banned
But now you'll have to remove the same message from discord.
They are supposed to be seperate platforms for a reason, if you do this might as well figure out a way to echo IRC messages on teamspeak. Also, a majority of players don't use discord unlike IRC. There's just so many reason why this isn't gonna work but I'll just leave for others to mention.
-
I like chatting. And i don't see a reason why that shouldn't be merged.

we can make active members from discord as admins/mods for discord stuff ain't it?

you dont even use it!! how can you knoww? plus we can add moderation bots to prevent spam many bots are available OKAY?

That's not really how it works around here, there won't be any seperate moderators or whatever. Also, discord bots are rather slow in delivering messages so I'm not sure how it would perform with IRC messages.
For anyone who has used ptp discord knows what kinda shitstorm it is. There are many more stuff to add/fix than doing this. Not needed.

We Only use discord when we are at War, which rarely happens so for me it won't be necessary. Plus I don't really like talking 😂

How is this retarted?
Combining them is easy and you don't have to open the mIRC and discord both on pc
Combining them will easily allow you to function like mirc making you show online everytime

There is no such thing as combining, not even with a silly retarded script. Both work differently and have different features. And just because you children prefer idling on Discord doesn't mean that's what others like. IRC has been around for decades and serves as a great platform for viewing chat and doing administrative duties. Don't think Discord works like that.
Besides if you combined them, you won't technically be online on IRC or on Discord, and vice versa.
-
I was thinking about something similar, but using Telegram instead. Telegram bots can do anything you can write on a script, so I'm pretty sure it's possible to make them echo the in-game chat and respond to commands, just like in IRC.
It would be easier to set up (as simple as clicking on a link to join the chat) and use and, as many people already use Telegram, you wouldn't have to install additional software. You wouldn't need bouncers to keep you always online, Telegram always saves the messages whether you are on or offline (some bouncers are paid, and the free ones only save up to a number of lines, usually 5000). And the Android/iOS apps are way more stable, customizable... (better) than any IRC client. Also, it would be cool to have a channel you could join to receive alerts when there's an event, get updated when the server is down, to find out about the latest updates or to announce important polls going on in the forums. It would keep people more connected to the server when they can't play, in some sort of way :p
But I imagine this is quite difficult to make. I definitely have no clue how to carry it out.

But Mia, how many players do yoy think are using Telegram?
100+ members are already there on the discord server plus i have shown the link in which the guy does it successfully within
minutes.
It isn't that tough.

I like the Telegram idea

Doesn't matter how many players are using Telegram. Did you use IRC before you came to know SAMP? If Plan B were to switch to Telegram, the same goes for that then. Discord and IRC are 2 different platforms. Combining them is not a thing. If your suggestion was about moving completely to Discord then sure I'd argue differently. But IRC has been around for ages for the internet nerds and pretty much many SA-MP members use it to chat and get to know one another and get code support so there isn't much of that on Discord or Telegram. IRC enables others to be on other chans for other servers as well.

My basic suggestion was to allow discord users to see whats going on #planb.echo channel and communicate just to save time like i don't want to open both of them separately.

That's why there shouldnt be a discord server for Plan B but yeah I get your point. Prefer IRC over Discord for chat

I vote for the shittiest suggestions everytime <3

I think IRC is still the best option for displaying the chat logs, and I feel on other platforms things would get cluttered fast. We won't be adding a Discord plugin at this time.
