I was thinking of adding a new class, it's called a spy, wherein a security (or cop) will pretend as a terrorist (as his name is colored red also), and hunt them down (just like USA's CIA). And/or vice-versa, a terrorist will pretend as a security/cop.
There can be only a maximum of 2 spies in each team.
He can read both the President's and the terrorists' team chat and send the opposing team's strategy to his team.
To identify a spy: 1: there must be a unique weapon for them. (e.g. Telescope) 2: If he is caught attacking the opposing team, and 3: If ever the opposing team shoots him, he will be identified and the colors of his name will turn into his original team color.
I was thinking if this should be added to the class selection or this should just be available for VIPS (but I think that's unfair), or the President will pick spies for him (as suggested by Norinder_Mudi).
So what do you think guys?

Sounds good, a new class would be great
-
+1 yeah we need more class.
-
I do like the idea of adding/changing a class...but this spy thing just doesn't quite fit in imo...
-
Maybe the president can choose a guy as a spy !
-
Spy must be equipped with one knife @ all other weapons of class with 1 ammo
it will make gm more interesting , just like the hitmen in RP.
knife is desynced a bit , but we gotta make it work.
-
Interesting!! A spy picked by the President sounds awesome! Hope we see it
-
I would support this class if its on the bad side(terrorist). As the good vs bad class ration is 2:1 and this would make things fair. Also it would make sense since its the president who camps and would fear someone of his own sec to betray.

I like the idea of adding another class. A spy can certainly make the gameplay more exciting. I hope something like this will be added in the future! Maybe it will attract even more players to the new server.

I think that the sucess of this gamemode is due its simplicity, so I don't like the idea of additional classes. Maybe replace classes by others would be better. For example: replace the SWAT by ARMY :D Plus the civillians are great spies, some of them bitches likes to pretend they are protecting the presi but then they kill him at the end, HU3

There are better spies than civilians. They are called snakes. You thought you are friends with them but they will just betray you and when the time comes, they will strike behind your back ;)

Gablo has a point here about simplicity. Converting the SWAT into the 'army' may seem a more logical first step. I really hope it will be allowed for them to use the heavy/special weapons like tanks and bombs/flamethrowers. Amry having the same weapons as security/police is a bit useless. I think we all agree a new class or replacement class needs to have something different.

+1 ,but i think only vip ,,why only vip? well, its gonna be a motivation to the new players to get/buy the vip 8)
-
it's a nice idea :o

What is the point? I don't see how the spy would be able to do anything helpful for either side. I quote Ricky on this:
It's better to improve the current game play with small modifications to keep it modernised/up to date. The basic concept of PTP is what makes it great - there's no need to over-complicate it.

It would help the opposing team by sending the spy to know their tactics. And having a new class would be exciting for the old players since there is something new

PTP is succesful, among other reasons, because it's very simple and easy to learn. Don't add more classes :p

I don't think this spy thing is complex at all. Everyone can understand what their role is

people can't understand that they can't shoot on the spawn and that civilians are not a team...xD

Btw she is right for the first time! xD J/k <3
No need to add more class, i agree with Araine

This whole spy thing just doesn't fit into the classic game mode of PTP for me - maybe that's just my opinion. It makes it feel tacky and unnecessarily and somewhat of a gimmick i.e. doesn't add considerable value.
I think time would be better spent by improving the existing classes with more commands specific to their task. One idea that regularly popped in to my mind was that the Police class should be able to place a blockade of some kind (obviously with some restrictions) or terrorists can have sub-classes within with focus on what they want to do. Perhaps one with the current weapons, one that is explosives/heavy based and perhaps something else. Also, civilians should have some different things between them.

Yeah, like maybe that sub-class of Terrorists can have Satchels (sticky bombs) so they can plant them on the road or wherever and kill the President that way. It would certainly add more diversity to the game mode and the strategy of surviving.
As for the Spy class, nah. It just won't fit into the game mode nicely.
