You don't even play these days.
That's not relevant.
Why would seasparrow could be too overpowered?! Hydras are more powerful then seasparrows cause they can lock in the target with rockets. Seasparrows only has 2 mounted (m4's)miniguns.
As one of the people who demonstrated how ridiculous they are during the beta tests, here's why:
- In terms of firepower, it's basically a hovering Rustler with better aim.
- With a little practice, it's easy to get to the point where you can pin someone down so they can't get out of cover without being shredded by either your guns or your rotor.
- It's very easy to destroy vehicles with them, and once the driver jumps out, they don't have much if a chance.
- It's harder to shoot a Sea Sparrow down without getting shot at/killed if the pilot knows what they're doing and isn't outnumbered.
- At close range, the M4s drain health so quickly that you're basically being instantly killed without the helicopter having to get as close as they would for a helikill.
Hydras require more skill because you really have to use the unguided rockets if you want to do large amounts of damage, and with an intelligent opponent, you have to hit them while they're moving (while you're not hovering). Sea Sparrows make it so easy to destroy vehicles and people on the ground that almost every fight seems to boil down to the victim jumping out of a flaming car and getting hosed. It's one of the few things in SA:MP that makes killing people so easy that it often feels like you're CJ going on a rampage in the single-player mode.
For those who are interested: they're still easy to destroy with Rustlers. Just fly at them from above where it's hard for them to hit you and strafe/ram them (this works for Hunters too, though not as well). However, it's also easy to camp at the airport with your Sea Sparrow/Hunter so this won't ever happen to you.
