Sometimes it takes time to type /Holiday command as president and president don't get time for this or he's dead so giving rifle would be a good option. +1

The President is not a fighting class. The Desert Eagle is a last resort. If he's hiding somewhere without security or cops, he's probably going to get fucked and that's the way it should be.

As for newbies not knowing /holiday eng, I'd rather make the rifle a pickup instead of a command, as has been previously suggested by Saurabh and others.
Giving rifle to President will not let other to consider it as a Fighting Class so far. Rifle is just for his/her better protection and it is needed indeed. He/She will still not able to kill all Terrorists but can still stop some of them.

If you give him a rifle, he can suddenly DB with a very good, accurate long-range weapon. If he's DBing from an NRG, that will make it significantly harder for the terrorists to follow him, since he could just keep shooting out their tires before they get near. I think that pushes him into fighting class territory.

Terrorists chasing a President by dbing him with Spas is way more powerful then a President using a rifle. It's definitely imbalance but instead of balancing it we can make it more better.

Obviously the combat shotgun will be more powerful at closer range, but the usable range drops off pretty quickly. If the President, his driver, and the terrorists are all on NRGs, then the game turns into making sure the terrorists don't get close enough for the shotgun to be effective. It's not difficult to shoot out tires at distances shotguns can't match with a weapon that can shoot as far as the rifle can, so the shotgun is unlikely to be that useful.

I'd be fine with the rifle being a pickup that the President has to make a conscious decision to go to, if he wants to incorporate it into his strategy.

We'll probably add rifle pickups in the future (https://planbserver.com/forum/index.php?topic=2988.msg40697#msg40697). With this and /holiday eng, I think the president has plenty of options to use the rifle if he wants to.
