Yeah, I remember I was shocked when I found out that molotovs had been added. But in fact they are not overpowered; they just bring more tactical options to the fight. You can avoid most of the damage by abusing bugs (jumping, hanging etc), but you can block your opponents from shooting or effectively defend yourselves between all those Los Santos little cottages and fences, which can be very funny. Now I would like them to be kept, but I don't want to see them on any other maps. So, -1 both to removing or spreading them across other maps.
