How do you see so far with sniper?

Standard SAMP loadout doesn't give me viewable distance same as others, only vehicle LOD models at 171.

My PC is decent, view-able distance doesn't change even with max draw-distance,Very High FX,etc. I have being killed well beyond that range and even with new update I am unable to shoot back.

Are special modifications being used to increase viewable sniper distance? And is this legal? I thought allowed mods was keybinder and visual modifications that don't give advantage over other players only.

Am I missing some key information here?

I don't know about that, I am fine with the current system but if you try to increase your FPS then you can't see far distance with the sniper. I faced this issue when I had 300+ fps but when I removed it, it became fine.

I have frame limiter on so I get relatively stable FPS, but I will try your method. But as far as I remember, even chetan got decent kills on his potato PC.

Well, increasing FPS is stupid, it will fail to help u in sniping anyways.

If you're playing on a low resolution try increasing it and also keep your draw distance high. Then you should be able to get a distance of 301 which is the maximum distance you can view with a sniper rifle.

Is 1920x1080 big? I got that 171 distance = LOD car only thing with max settings in my default 1080 resolution. Although I got info that you need to restart the game to apply certain 'higher' features like mip-maps to work, so I will try it again.


Anyways, I guess I will look into Timecycles and see what exact modifier causes it, since I have a Timecycle mod too.
