Well,here we go.
On another server I played somewhat long before, the players were able to switch the drive-by weapons as passengers by pressing Y, if I remember well.
That sure can be done on our server too,I believe.
So,why don't you make that available?
I hope I won't get some kind of nonsensical backlash since I can't remember when was the last time any of my suggestions has been accepted.
There's literally no reason to not make this.
The only issue I see is time - maybe you have other projects to finish first,so delaying this would be understandable.
I'm sure my suggestion would increase the dynamics of the game.
If you really have something to say against this, "spit it out". 
Taking a wrong weapon happens alot to me so its a good suggestion for me +1
