[Unbanned]CapriciousRobber
« on: November 08, 2017, 04:15:43 pm »
• In-game name - CapriciousRobber
• Your IP address - [IP address has been removed due to the General Data Protection Regulation]
• The date you were banned - 8/11/17
• Extra space for you to explain what happened - I was under the bridge near Dillimore when I realized that I was not taking damage. I have around 100-200 ping, so I just assumed that I was lagging and eventually I will die. However, I noticed that after a few seconds, I was STILL not taking damage. So I stopped moving to check my internet and to make sure that the lag would eventually catch up to me. The "lag" never did catch up to me, so I was just standing there taking absolutely no damage from several terrorist who were tenaciously trying to kill me.

Long story short, it was a glitch. I have NO previous history of hacking/exploiting, especially with health hacks. I died at least 5-6 times prior to the glitch, and when other players (terrorist) discovered my situation, I was immediately banned. I've been playing this server for (relatively) a while now, and have had a clean record. I don't understand why I was so quick to be banned? Surely I am not the only person who has experienced this glitch, right?

So, with that explanation over with, I'm asking to get unbanned, obviously. Whatever protocols I have to go through, I'm cool with.

(P.S: I don't mean to be snarky, but how come I was banned almost instantaneously when an admin found out about my glitch, but actual exploiters take minutes to be banned? There has been times where I reported a rule breaker and/or an exploiter, and it was never resolved. But I fall victim to a glitch and I'm gone at the snap of a finger? I know I'm not really in a position to be critiquing administrators, but the admin who banned me did a really poor job at evaluating the problem. I wasn't questioned about it, wasn't asked to "turn off" my non-existent health hacks, nothing. Just gone. It's really frustrating as a consistent player of PTP that I have to get punished for something I'm not even guilty of.)

(P.P.S: I know I must sound like an obnoxious and condescending cock here, but that's not what I'm intending. I just want to get unbanned. That's it. Not trying to be a dick.)

I've looked into it, and it looks like you got desynced while under spawn protection. Mostly, when people get desynced, they don't take damage at all and you won't see their health dropping. In you case, you got desynced under spawn protection (so you kept the 'godmode health' you get while under spawn protection), but you were taking damage and losing health. SAMP displays this godmode in a weird way, meaning if you get to 0 health in your health bar, the bar will go back to full health, over and over again. This gave the impression you were regenerating your health. This combined with the amount of reports you got around that time, and the rarity of this bug (I think we've only got 1 case like this before, where you desync under spawn protection then partially re-sync), resulted in the decision being made a bit too quickly. Our apologies for this, you're unbanned now.

It heavily depends on the type of hack that's used. Some require a lot of time and patience to detect, others we can detect in an instant. We're not going to question every single player before we ban them either.
