The original version of House of Cards with Ian Richardson is way better than the American version, in my opinion. Kevin Spacey (in addition to diddling kids) just doesn't have the same charm.
Aren't the accents in Narcos pretty bad? It bugged me too much when I watched it.

Where's Wallace at? This scene and the scenes from
Bird's trial (sort of a spoiler) finally pushed me over the edge to watching it last year- I burned through all 60 hours in 2 weeks. It makes 95% of other "good shows" feel like soap operas. It's very realistic (with the exception on certain parts of the fifth season)- a good portion of the characters were based on real people who are sometimes actually in the show. The writers were journalists, cops, and teachers in Baltimore. I've been rewatching it and I've been constantly amazed by how events that I didn't notice in the first seasons set up for future events. The acting is also extremely good and the show (with the exception of the first few episodes, to appeal to HBO) doesn't hold your hand. Idris Elba's accent as Stringer is kind of ridiculously good. Watch it.
