I don't see this as an absolute necessity, but it's faster than minimizing your game and checking the exact same information you can see in the CP, so why not.

Control Panel works perfectly so it's not neccesarie to add a new command just to check a previous nickname.

As people mentioned, you can check this on the CP. We won't be adding this ingame, as it's hard to still display everything properly, especially as these lists keep getting longer and longer.
