Title: Weapon Tint/Color
Post by: Vishwas on December 15, 2017, 01:02:17 pm: So I was suggesting if we could have colored weapons , somewhat like GTA 5. Basically you can type /weapon color (hex code) and your weapons will look colored. Somewhat looks like this

I wanted to suggest this a long time but never really bothered in old ptp (you know why xD )

To achieve this you basically add a weapon model on top of the existing weapon and you have to add parameters such that when you switch weapon the model changes, it works fine when I tried it. This was a feature of CSS(A part of PTP Community).
the command should be /wcolor <hexcode>

And for people thinking that it would create problems for custom weapon models, no it doesn't.

-Why should I use this if I can install a weapon pack?
Your weapon packs/textures are only visible to you but this will be visible to everyone including yourself!

Does it look ugly?
Nope, just No. It looks pretty good , imagine having a golden desert eagle, does it look ugly?
Also I remember back when this was in CSS that the guns sorta glowed in the dark when bright Colors were used and it looked pretty cool. But if that doesn't answer your question, don't like it,don't use it

I don't think everyone uses it, and with this color is visible to everyone and not just you. So it's unique.
And your custom skins also look good when they are colored.

^Yeah I'd suggest doing this...a lot of badass looking mods out there...don't think many people would really use this :S

As I've said, custom weapons only appear to you.. these appear to everyone else lol

I do not think this is currently important to implement unless there is enough free time for someone to add it. I do think that vip weapons could have more options or other choices.

That won't take much time i guess. Besides colored weapons might attract more people towards the VIP status.

Yes the server would look ugly a bit though,due to all the badly textured colors on the weapons(they are just hue adjustments)

but meh,people would figure out better looking colors anyways.

and ye, this should be for VIPs only. [exception during Christmas plz]

Would attract more people to buy the VIP and help in Server Costs.

I did. Suggestions should be posted in a 'Suggestions' board, not some secret for VIPs, even if they only apply to a level 2 players.

No, the custom weapons work fine. You have to understand how this works, it's basically putting up a textured weapon model above your weapon model to give it a color.

If I customized my weapon pack example black & neon desert eagle it will just change the color without changing its shape?

If you mean just simply colouring the wheels directly then No.
There are wheel models as objects in samp which means they can be attached to a vehicle but this isn't practical since :
1) Attached objects don't rotate with wheels they will just be static. (Unless you try to rotate them with script but it won't sync with wheels right)
2) All different category vehicles have different size of wheels therefore you can't attach same sized wheels.

So no it's not possible :/
