A question about Hard disk
« on: May 13, 2017, 12:22:59 pm »
Hi,

I have a slight problem. I have got a laptop which is pretty old and known as IBM ThinkPad laptop with the really small hard disk drive of 80GB and because my laptop is broken completely. I need to retrive my data from that hard disk so i need " A adapter to USB". " *Example* SATA to USB " .

The model number of the Hard disk is "HTS541080G9AT00". It will be really grateful if you can help me on how to get my data back by connecting the " USB " to the laptop and then copying it from that stage.

Open the laptop, wash the motherboard with water and dont forget to use soap, good quality soap.
Then put it in oven to make it dry. Then leave it aside for like 20 days
After 20 days you will notice some changes and after few days you will find that your data has already been transfered to your new pc/laptop

Try this and

Thank me later.

What you need is a SATA Hard Drive Enclosure, which allows you to put your hard drive inside an enclosure. You can get your data and use it as a portable hard drive afterwards.

https://www.amazon.com/Tool-free-Inateck-External-Enclosure-FE2004/dp/B00JQTO8TU/ref=lp_160354011_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1494882282&sr=1-4

Or you can buy the cable, but I prefer an enclosure cause it's a case that protects the hard drive.

Don't know how much they are in your country, but they are fairly very cheap.
