As the topic says , I'm here to post about China's Yulin Festival which held every year during  summer from 21st June to 30th June. Millions of people all over the globe have been protesting  against this festival but it seems like Global outrage is having no effect on revellers at China's notorious Yulin festival. The purpose of this topic is to Enlighten you about this barbaric and Inhuman act of Yulin Festival which is  also famous as Dog meat festival in which thousands of Dogs ( including Cats ) are slaughtered and skinned alive. It is criticized globally and several Organizations are trying to end this Festival by doing efforts on their level. There is Petition against Yulin festival which is attached in the end of topic. You guys can check it and fill it.

Latest Update about Yulin Festival -  Few weeks ago it was in the news that government of China has banned the Yulin's annual celebration ( Detail Information) but Some sources in China are reporting that the government of City Yulin will prohibit restaurants, street vendors, and market traders from selling dog meat at the city’s now-infamous festival this year. The ban is set to come into effect on June 15—one week prior to the start of the event on the summer solstice. It’s meant to be strictly enforced, with hefty fines and the risk of arrest for violations. However, the ban is only temporary, and many dogs and cats will still be killed before the ban goes into effect. The news of this temporary ban will depend on enforcement, however we should not be surprised to see some breaches, perhaps even defiance in front of the press cameras. Whilst millions of people share a desire to see Yulin rid of dog meat sales, and wish the ban also extended to cats, the political significance of this ban does not rely on it being 100% robust, rather it relies on it being received without major public disorder, so that the authorities feel sufficiently confident to go a step further next time. That is what we will be building on in order to realize our goal of a Yulin free of animal cruelty.

So what?
Someone can say that asians are the most fucked up people on the planet, bypassing nazis in wwII with their 740-units etc. But the fact is that you are living in a world with slavetrading, organ trafficking, cannibalism and other interesting shit you even do not know still existing.
You can not expect 'right' human-animal relation, if you do not have 'human-human' one.
But somehow people from one part of the world have feeling they can teach people from another part of the world how to live. Even when in the modern world some countries provide their prosperity at the expense of other countries. But in this case citizens of first countries do not feel that they need to restore equality.
Connection is not obvious, but the part of humanity is living like civilized because they can do so. They are not better than '3rd world'. They are still same human trash, crash mainstays of their society - and they will go down to the same level as Africa. But for now they are making "petitions", because people they do not know must do how they want.

I feel so poor for that dogs, but it's festival and what's the real reason of they eating dogs in this festival, I can't understand it well...

I'm trying to understand them, but it's not possible since the taste of dog is not well, like as animals like leon, cheetah, tiger, wolf, cat or something like similar ones... But hey,we do exact same thing with pigs,chickens and other animals. Chicken is growing up just to be killed and server on our table. Thats not fair too. But i'll never understand how they can do that to dogs... I mean rly,you have to be rly  fucked up,to kill a dog.

I don't get why this is such a huge deal to some of you. It might look disturbing to us, but maybe they are disgusted with us eating pork (pigs), or horse meat, or frog meat.

I'm not saying I support the killing of dogs, I love dogs a lot. But no petition will change anything about something that is part of their culture. So yeah, kinda pointless imho...

What is difference between dog ,cow ,pig ,goat or chicken they all animals and they all have hearts, All life matters i am not going to give big lecture all i believe is that if world would be Vegetarian world would be more happier , healthier and more humane place to live.

Actually, some Pope of the Roman Catholic Church said that dogs are "animals with soul".

Unless you're a vegetarian - and it's your choice, there's nothing wrong until you force your point of view on others, - it's weird to eat some animals and to complaint on people who eat the others. Indeed, what's the principal difference? All of mammal animals also consist of meat growing on the bones; in turn, dogs are predators, unlike most of the animals that are eaten "traditionally", so their meat should be way less tasty and more fibrous and rigid. But if Chinese people can cook it well, why not? I understand that most of the opposers of the festival are driven by the ancient, prehistoric stereotype that a dog is a friend and a companion of a human, unlike birds, cattle etc. But is it a reason enough to discourage other people to do so, to stand against them if they don't force you to eat dogs' meat with them? I don't think so.

I remember that case! But anyways, it doesn't mean that the Church official position has changed: the Pope said that just to cheer up a little boy who had lost his dog. By the way, it is interesting that the Bible doesn't discuss about animals' souls anywhere (in Genesis it both states that only a man is made "on Our (God's) image", but "they (animals) went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life"); it only points those you should eat. But it surely doesn't give the dogs any special privilegies anywhere.
