I see LoD's creating new clans every other day with the same old ban evaders.

Not that it should necessarily be something regulated by admins, but honestly, GgT and LoD are pretty bad right now. Their members and the ban appeals section seem to be in some kind of "friends, with benefits" kind of relationship where their members are occasionally fucked, but they're always hanging out together. Of GgT, Niks is still a member, and WuZi and GhostZ are still the "leaders" (whatever the hell that means) of GgT- all banned. Rugal is in LoD's hall of fame, and he's permanently banned. Not only do some of their members seem to have no shame in hacking away, but they don't even punish their members when they're caught. GgT and LoD, don't think I'm picking on you- there have been plenty of others, but your shit stinks the most at the moment.

To the clans that do this: how the fuck do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you allow banned members to stay in your the clan? Do you keep them in as mentors to the newer members, who need tutelage in the fine art of hacking/cheating? Honestly, why? It's like your clans are bicycling teams that still proudly brag about having Lance Armstrong with them, or proverbial navy blue dresses with copious white stains left by your particularly shitty members, but you're all showing off the dress instead of getting it dry cleaned. You're each little popes, ignoring priests bending altar boys over within your church. You're U.S. police departments, letting a cop go after he's shot someone with too much skin pigment for their own good, but no weapon. You're OJ Simpson's jury. In case you're missing my point, people don't often forget assholes who run wild at the cost of everyone else, even though you don't punish them. The fact that those assholes still proudly show your tag like preschoolers with gold stars means, in my eyes and with few exceptions, you're all tarred with the same brush.

TL;DR: If you perhaps tried cleaning up the dog shit in your clans instead of screwing the pooch when dealing with your rulebreaking members, there's a chance that you may be actually be taken seriously.

Well said. Also:

Cheaters convince themselves (and their clan leaders) that they were actually banned unfairly and that's how they get the support of the clan. But, in most cases, leaders do know that their whole clan is cheating and still allow it - I guess the ego of "being the best on server by any means" takes over.

That's the Dilemma here.

There will not be a criteria to open a clan. Anyone who wants to open a clan can just post a topic. We will just be cleaning up the section regularly and remove the ones that aren't active.
