Well, Rev, despite Mr Maduro's possible success in today's Constituent Assembly elections, it's very important to keep pressuring him. I want to tell you that you, the Venezuelans, can't allow Mr Maduro to take your freedom away. You have to gather up, protest and express your opposition to his decisions. As a Pole, a citizen of a country which has already been erased from the map of Europe for almost 120 years and survived, has been completely destroyed under the occupation during the WWII and survived and which has been under the Soviet domination for another 45 years and survived, I want to ensure you - even if your Constitution will be modified right now and your President will implement a communism, it's just a matter of time when Venezuela returns to the democratic path.
Mr Maduro's TV speech, in which he has said about the opposition member, Mr Deputy Speaker Guevara, that 'this little Hitler has his cell guaranteed' is extremely disturbing as it shows that his main motive is depriving the freedom of actions by the opposition by taking away its leaders immunity and jailing them. Just like your Interior Minister decided that public gatherings and demonstrations across the country are forbidden and their participants will face five to ten years of imprisonment for taking part in it, while it's the only possible way to express the lack of support for the government decisions.
It has already happened throughout the history, but it shows us that such dictatorial inclinations can be defeated and I'm sure that sooner or later they will be defeated in Venezuela as well.

Roy, however terrifying and sublime it will sound, please, do not give up. You, the Venezuelans, can not surrender. I hope that 'the world' will finally end standing aside and just watching and starts taking some concrete actions. I hope you and your relatives will stay safe and sound in those, tragic for you, times.

God bless you and God bless all the Venezuelans in your fight for freedom!

Rev/Roy I've known you for years now on this server, since you've been trolling me with Nani (haha)

I've read a little about the crisis in Venezuela. I can't really say much cause but stay safe and eventually your country will regain its democracy. But even before this whole situation, Venezuela has been struggling to exist regardless. I hope you get out of that hell hole someday and go somewhere where you can survive. You got the great English skills to be anywhere on this planet and making that money.

Stay in contact, dont hesitate to message me.

Saludos

I'm truly overwhelmed by your response to this topic. Thank you, guys! Means a lot.

As expected, the government went to elections and they did everything as they had planned, but the elections were a fraud. Something we knew because they said over 8 million people voted for them and it was obviously a lie since the streets were empty! We believe they only had about 3.5 million votes. And most of those were people afraid to lose their jobs - A lot have been fired since Monday because they did not attend to the elections to vote.

Here's the link if anyone is interested:

http://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-latin-america-40805503/venezuela-vote-we-know-the-turnout-was-manipulated

I'd like to clarify that I'm not leaving the server or anything like that. I'll be around for as long as I can! :)

And once again, thank you all.
