Take away MP5 for security

Why don't we take away the MP5 of the security class? People don't follow /duty all the time. Reports don't lead to anything, the hardest punishment is a forced reclass or maybe a kick. I mean, come on. That's just pathetic, no?

If we take away the MP5 from the security class, they won't be that overpowered anymore and there won't be any advantage anymore of taking the security class and not following /duty.

There have been many polls on previous PTP forum about this. While I agree with you that sometimes newbie Securities rarely follow duty and need to be reminded by mods/admins, I don't think that the solution is removing MP5. Security class is fine as it is, MP5 is the strongest weapon for drive-by, but it shouldn't be taken away.

Sniper Rifle and chainsaw aren't exactly as easy as driveby.

Security is the second most important class in the gamemode, so they should keep this kind of advantage imo.

DB is one of the main fighting styles in PTP (altough it has become less effective since lagcomp) and removing a Drive-By weapon doesn't make any sense. And if someone suggests to replace MP5 with another SMG (tec9 or uzi) just because it's so overpowered in DB... Well with a full set of RW they would be even more overpowered than you actually think they are now. Plus it's normal that security class is stronger compared to other classes. After all, they are the primary protectors of the President.

While I agree securities don't like to do duty lately, the solution isn't to remove their guns, the solution is to get more active mods. So -1.
