While it's nice to point out that a discussion has already been had, I'm not sure telling Luca to use search is necessary. Suggestions get buried. However, I'd be happy to reanimate some of my old topics, if you would prefer that. Maybe... make them uh, flight-worthy.
As for me, it's about basic principles of any forum communication. We've got boards and topics to sort and store the information separately. Most forum rules recommend to name the topics according to their contents; unfortunately, it's applied only to reports and ban appeals sections here. While it is fine to go offtopic (sometimes), I think that the discussion about any particular matter should be held in one place.
So if you ask me, yes, I would prefer that. But it's just my opinion.
If anyone, be it me, or you, or Luca_Brasi, search for "colts", even though SMF search is far from perfect, he would find the old topic right away. Probably there is already some discussion, opinions and suggestions. So why to start everything anew?
