How should the system of punishing VIP rulebreakers be altered?

Reset level to 1 if a VIP has got banned for hacking
Reset level to 1 if a VIP has got banned for anything (death evasion etc)
Make everyone pay for unban if the unban date has been announced and has come
Don't change anything, it is fine already
Another option

About punishing VIP rulebreakers
« on: June 17, 2017, 01:28:25 am »
Hi there,

we had a topic called "Unban Key" recently. It contained an extremely dubious idea of granting rich kids persons an ability to drop their ban immediately. But fortunately Jonne said "I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love" and the topic was closed... Indeed, I wouldn't be able to love a server which was made for making money instead of trying to build little gaming idylly on the Internet.

Anyways, a nice, rational and old idea was expressed there by YoMama:
I don't like the unban key idea, but I do like the idea of chronic offenders having to buy their VIP back. It would accomplish the same thing, while not giving the wealthier players the ability to flaunt server rules.

Long ago I've got a thought of another kind of the "unban key". I thought that persons who are getting banned the second (or more) time should pay (say, half of VIP status cost) after the decision about their unban is made and the unban date has come, but before being actually unbanned. It would be like a compensation for the offence towards the server and the whole community...

But my idea would cause injustice. Not everyone has money for games, not everyone has access to any sort of online wallets. Removing VIP status is different: if a person bought it once, it wouldn't be too devastating to pay once again. My point is that the punishment for hacking should be real and sensitive. It shouldn't only be discouraging and dangerous beind a hacker - it should be shameful, publicly censured. It should be considered indecent and vile to use hacks against the others. Unfortunately, we're too far away from that yet.

Anyways, what do you think?

Thank you.
A paltry man and poor of mind
At all things ever mocks;
For never he knows, what he ought to know,
That he is not free from faults.

There were 2-3 VIP's being unbanned a while ago after remaining (permanent) banned for 6+ months (even after admins decided they won't be playing here again). IMO It would be good if these kinds of punishments are implemented in this case.

After 2nd serious offense/ban, remove the VIP status of the offender in addition to banning him for 6+ months

The Punishment system has been changed lately , this is what I noticed. BUT I still think this is not enough and I'm completely agree with this point of Altus -- "Reset level to 1 if a VIP has got banned for hacking". We know there are still many VIPs who get unbanned and after playing a couple of hours they enable their cheats like a Boss because they're so used to it and can't play without it. At the same time they also know that somehow they will get unban in the end If they get caught and banned again.
VIPs are the players who have been playing PTP for more than a year , they know everything about PTP rules so If they choose to play with cheats then it is completely their fault and they should be strictly Punished accordingly. I'm 100% sure that If they lose their VIP status as punishment then half of them will automatically stopped cheating. They can't play without cheats but they can't play without VIP level as well.

Warn him about losing his VIP status on the first offense, then remove his VIP status next time he does it again

I think removing VIP for those rulebreakers are not the solution. Since we are talking about Regular VIP Rulebreakers; they are not gonna stop playing or hacking for being in level 1. Actually I think this thing will more like provocate them to silly hacking.

I think real solution is reset their stats. Once VIP regular player hacks like as some silly ones (Aim hacks, damage mod, lag.cs etc), then they have to be ready to lost their stats. That's my personal opinion..

First of all,you talking here about Reset VIP after couple of chances,I dont understand why you give hackers chances.

Hacker is Hacker.

-Player who hack in the first time his punishment - 3 Months ban or 4 (VIP Or Not) , Reset his VIP & Reset his Stats.

The reset punishemnt wont give nothing if You-Admins Keep give chances for hackers.
as i say all the time Big & Hard Punishment Will make this server good.

Stop give hackers another chances! ! !

''Minor punishments" like bug abusing, and death evading etc should not be considered in removing VIP.
But hacking,i'm down for it. If a VIP player is cheating, make him regret so bad.
Supporting your idea. +1

Stop this, it's all bullshit. I think this is good :

First ban- Give them 1 more chance.
Ban 2- Take their VIP for 6 months(Best way)
Ban 3- Have fun in your home :D
