Custom license plates

+1, great suggestion but there's a bit of a problem: license plates are made when the car spawns and cannot be changed with a simple command. Unless that changed in the past year or so.

Indeed Luca, since we don't have a cmd to spawn vehicles in here;
We could still have /setplate command that allows us to change the plate only when the car has 1000.00 hp (this may be the solution in case that car has to respawn each time, to add new plates). Which means you can't abuse the command to fix it, if the car is damaged or it's being shot.

Just because it was suggested in the VIP section doesn't mean that suggesting it here is invalid (especially since this one, unlike the other, was actually posted in the right place). I'm too tired at the moment to write a new response, so I'll shamelessly quote what I wrote in the VIP section for those people who were excluded from the discussion:

This is basically just another form of /ccolor. Why the hell can't everybody use it? Everyone who is registered can set a personal text and a personal car color. Why can't they have a personal license plate? What is the point in denying it to level 1s? Nobody really buys VIP so they can use whatever skin they want or so they can use /cc and all the other cosmetic shit. They buy it because they get the sniper and saw, so they can choose whatever class they want, and so they they can mod their cars with nitro and other (functional, not purely cosmetic) upgrades. Suggesting that adding this for VIPs only would give people more incentive to buy VIP is ludicrous. In some howling, desolate corner of the planet, there may in fact exist a drooling cretin who would be finally convinced to buy VIP because they want to customize their license plate to read "SUPERYR", but in actuality, it's never going to be something someone considers a huge advantage of buying VIP.

Consequently, I see no reason to deny it to level 1s except to be petty and to assert your status as a "VIP member". "VIP aura" should be more accurately referred to as "illusory superiority". So, you've "never seen a server allowing this [for] normal players". Great, how hard have you looked? Even in the unlikely event that your statement in fact means that no servers allow their "normal players" to change their license plates, why can't we be the cool server that lets anyone customize their license plate, because let's face it, it doesn't fucking matter to the VIPs if anyone can do it? You can just mod the game and get the same effect or better anyway.

If someone can give me a good reason why these suggestions are being created in the VIP board, I'd like to know. The rest of the server should also have the right to vote on what VIPs or anyone else gets, with the exception of staff abilities. This is really starting to piss me off. Some of you are reminding me of North Korean military officials who likely vote behind closed doors to give each other more medals to show how much more superior you all are.

In a hope that some of them might register to use it. Sound silly but yea might work. And also, less players allowed to use that cmd means less messing up with the vehicles on server( idk how this thing is implemented but i quickread that some of you guys mentioned re spawning and stuff)

Because I was thinking of it being something that you could save with your account. I don't see why it couldn't be for everyone though, you just wouldn't be able to save it.

This suggestion won't be added. The car has to be respawned for the license plates to work, and we won't be giving a command which will let you respawn cars, even with restrictions.
