Give users permission to delete their own forum posts and replies

Your suggestion is completely retarded or it's the way you show your frustration after hours and hours asslicking for a promotion,which resulted in a fail.
There need to be bounds between administrators and regular/registered users on a forum. On another one,everything should be stored where it belongs and be visible anytime.
Social media and forums are not the same. Your posts,threads and statistics shouldn't be moderated by "you". That's how it was for years,you dumb, on a period child.

I did have a valid reason, which was that this used to be possible without many problems that I was aware of. However, I changed my position. It's easy enough to ask admins to delete things, and I don't like the idea of weird discontinuities in conversations/people deleting things to improve their image.

I mean that for some smartasses:
Once you have an option to remove your own comment, you will make silly comments to get your target guy look like an idiot and start to make comments on topics with that way, you will annoy him/her at the beginning. Then when you see the insults by him/her; you will remove your previous comments. At the end; you will act nice, repliying with some respectful comments and make the other person looking so asshole on that topic.

Isn't that possible with editing as well...?

Deleting: you can make a person look like he is talking to himself (absurd?)
Editing: you can fake that a person got mad at you while you didn't say anything wrong

It's so funny how you make a big deal of this whole shit. Like if anyone in the world gives 2 fucks about what you gonna writte. And suggestion is just fine, many times players edit(deleted) their posts and then it just says "edited". Being able to delete it instead, is much better.

The delete feature would be good as long as you don't delete some of your 'ban appeals' etcetera , just for the sake of reputation. Otherwise It's good for personal benefit which doesn't cause harm to someone.

Once a topic is locked by senior admins or Head admins like Jonne, that person will no longer be able to delete or unlock post to make changes then lock it especially the "Ban Appeal" topics.

I agree with the suggestion. Instead of deleting the content of their post and asking the staff members to delete the post itself, the players should have the power to do the latter themselves to shorten the process. Deleting posts, just like editing, from locked topics should not be available, though.
