Post the philosophical quotes you like the most.
« on: January 12, 2018, 08:29:29 pm »
Well I love this philosophical note Nothing is True,
everything is Permitted
.

Elaboration: To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

Nice topic ,I think the quote of the year for me is..
"When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor."
-Elon Musk

Explanation: kinda self explanatory, you put your everything to your dream  even when you have nothing
left and the whole world calls you crazy. Even your heroes.

Quote is by Elon Musk who, if you didn't know is the owner of Tesla,SpaceX. The quote is so touching because he risked his ever dime on spaceX to achieve things. He even sold his apartment and lived on friends couch even though he could have chosen to be a millionaire because he already was one. Also he's one of the PayPal founders . He's the person of the year for me I guess.

In short, he's the living Tony Stark.

" people always look for their justification in things and things that justifies them"

People always want to feel right, they'll look for justification in things (anything  that can make them "look" right in whatever they do, follow, believe, etc.)

Nothing is True
You know, posting such a bullshit AND at the same time having muslim symbols on your sig means that one day you will be strapped to a pole and you will be beaten to a death by rocks.
Also, my dick is NOT 20 cm, AND THAT IS TRUE.
And that is NOT make my happy. AND THAT IS TRUE.
Also, saying that you wanna be a "shepherd" is nothing but a obscurantism.
Also, saying that everything is permitted when in some countries NOT EVERYTHING is permitted... Also, in YOUR country: The new constitution also stipulated that all laws were to conform to the injunctions of Islam as laid down in the Quran and Sunnah. So, are you trying to say that Islam permits everything?

Well, very interesting quote by a fraud. Looks like making money and fooling people is a very important thing for him.

Also he's one of the PayPal founders
Also, he is not.

People with lobotomy, well, i do not think they are looking for anything.

Nice, quoting a fucking racist and terrorist, who is talking about education, and at the same time the only invention from his educated black friends is to poo to the elevator`s shaft, which were built by white men.

Any person with a working brain*

@solod , i am sure when the topic says "philosophical" then deaman meant there is no absolute true or false. What he believes to be true(his religion/faith or anyone else's) is ofc not even close to being what we call a 'truth' or a fact(better word) BUT it is possible case that he accepts that there is no absolute true and is willing to devote his life in believing that his faith is the closest HE can come to the reality. OR Maybe he is just following it(his faith) not because he thinks it is the only/ultimate truth but because it is what makes him feel better (like placebos).

So it is still justified for a religious person to quote "Nothing is true" unless he is extremely religious  who says "my religion is the ultimate truth and i pity others(or kill) who don't follow it" , which i know what the actual holy books demand them to say and believe, but yea , corrupt people everywhere. Most of these religious people are surely hypocrites but there are still a few who understand how their religion can't be an actual thing and still follow it because it makes them feel better.

Any person with a working brain*
So, are you trying to identify a man as a person with a working brain?
Do you understand that humanisation of today`s world demends from you to respect any life, and your separation of working/not working brain is nothing but a discrimination? Do you think that discrimination is a "philosophical" thing?

@solod , i am sure when the topic says "philosophical" then deaman meant there is no absolute true or false.
Every time i am reading your posts, they are always irrelevant. That is "absolutely true".

What he believes to be true(his religion/faith or anyone else's) is ofc not even close to being what we call a 'truth' or a fact(better word)
Then what is the point in his "faith"? You just said that Deadman is nothing but a hypocrite? Because how can you "beliave" in your religion and AT THE SAME TIME he can not say that this "beliave" is true?

BUT it is possible case that he accepts that there is no absolute true and is willing to devote his life in believing that his faith is the closest HE can come to the reality.
This is not how religion "works". Because it IS the absolute true by determination of religion.
If he accepts that there is no absolute true, how can you be sure that your faith is true? You see, you words is nothing but a rubbish. Somehow people thinking that they have a "right" to argue about something they have no idea about.

it is what makes him feel better (like placebos).
Placebo means that you lie to yourself. Are you trying to say tht this lie is the way to determine what is truth?

Most of these religious people are surely hypocrites but there are still a few who understand how their religion can't be an actual thing and still follow it because it makes them feel better.
As i said before, what makes you feel that you have a right to say who is "truly religious" and who is not?

When was the last time you used Google ?

1)Elon Reeve Musk (born June 28, 1971) is a South African-born American entrepreneur and businessman who founded X.com in 1999 (which later became PayPal), SpaceX in 2002 and Tesla Motors in 2003. Musk became a multimillionaire in his late 20s when he sold his start-up company, Zip2, to a division of Compaq Computers.

2)"PayPal Mafia" is a term used to indicate a group of former PayPal employees and founders who have since founded and developed additional technology companies[1] such as Tesla Motors, LinkedIn, Palantir Technologies, SpaceX, YouTube, Yelp, and Yammer.[2] Most of the members attended Stanford University or University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign at some point in their studies. Six members, Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Reid Hoffman, Luke Nosek, Ken Howery, and Keith Rabois, have become billionaires.

When was the last time you used Google ?
>PayPal was established in December 1998 as Confinity,[12] a company that developed security software for handheld devices[13] founded by Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek and Ken Howery.
>PayPal was developed and launched as a money transfer service at Confinity in 1999, funded by John Malloy from BlueRun Ventures
>In March 2000, Confinity merged with X.com, an online banking company founded by Elon Musk.

I am just wondering how is it possible to be a "founder" of PayPal, which was developed in 1999, if you came to the company in 2000? Do not know, maybe Musk have  time machine?

Fraud?
lol who the fuck are you anyways and why would your opinion matter..Next time if you actually want to get to be taken seriously just come with some facts.
I am a man who, unlike you, googled not what he "wanna do", but what he "already did".
He has a shitload of "projects", he received a shitload of "investments", and from what i can read in "google" i see, that "some" of them are nothing but a bubble.

Nothing else exists except atoms and empty space, everything else is opinion
Atoms do not have a "will", so they do not have "opinion".
So, between "atoms and empty space" and "opinion", there is "something".
And sometimes that atoms lead to appearance of a useless posts and topics.
